Overtone HiFi exists because I enjoy two things deeply: music, and the technology that brings it closer. I’m not a professional audio or electrical engineer, and I’m not a journalist who has spent decades moving through the traditional audiophile circles. What I am is a curious listener who likes to spend time with gear, live with it, and understand how it fits into everyday listening.

I care about how things work — but even more about how they feel to use and to listen to.

Technology matters. Measurements matter.
But music, and the experience of connecting with it, always come first.

Everything you read here comes from hands-on experience with my own equipment, in my own space. Components are used over time, compared thoughtfully, and evaluated as part of real systems — not idealized setups or endlessly escalating high-end showcases. This site isn’t about unattainable perfection or chasing the most expensive solution. It’s about finding balance, making informed choices, and enjoying the process.

My goal is to stay independent: open-minded, critical when needed, and honest about limitations — both in the gear and in my own perspective. What you’ll find here are personal impressions, practical observations, and reflections shaped by everyday use, not industry narratives or trends.

If you’re new to hi-fi, I hope this offers guidance without intimidation. If you’ve been listening for years, I hope it offers a familiar mindset: curiosity over certainty, experience over dogma. Above all, this is a place to share what I’ve learned along the way — and to keep learning.
